So, listen to OTR to your heart's content if you want to get a feel for the era, but if you want to hear battles and such you may need to look to some more contemporary stuff. I run a radio drama podcast, one piece that comes to mind is a show called Captain Hudson, it's set in the style of OTR but with more modern sound techniques...
